Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician for Derby. This role offers a strong base salary with a potential bonus and ongoing manufacturer training within a modern, high-performing aftersales environment.

You will perform servicing, diagnostics, warranty work, and routine maintenance with eVHCs, while maintaining accurate digital job cards in a supportive workshop team that prioritises safety and progression.

Qualifications

• A recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic with both servicing and warranty exposure.
• Strong teamwork, process discipline and a commitment to delivering quality work.
• An MOT Licence is advantageous, though full training can be provided.
• A positive, proactive attitude and a desire to progress your career as a Vehicle Technician through ongoing accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Complete servicing, diagnostics, warranty and repair work across a variety of vehicles.
• Carry out routine maintenance including oil changes, cambelt replacements and mechanical repairs.
• Perform electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) and maintain accurate digital job card records.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive workshop team focused on efficiency and high standards.
