Job summary

ACS Automotive Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for their Guildford workshop. This permanent, full-time role offers a structured career path, ongoing training, and a competitive earnings scheme with a base salary of £35,500–£45,000 and an OTE up to £50,000. Monday to Friday, no weekend work, with a joining bonus and a strong monthly productivity bonus.

Level 3 qualified technicians with a UK driving license are encouraged to apply. EV and hybrid qualifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is essential.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in a professional workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Hybrid and EV qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently with high quality.
• Accurately complete job cards and documentation.
• Collaborate with Workshop Control and Aftersales team.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Keep up to date with technical training and repair techniques.

• Service Technician: £35,500 Basic | OTE £41,200
• Accredited Technician: £41,000 Basic | OTE £45,000
• Accredited Senior Technician: £45,000 Basic | OTE £50,000

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and associated documentation.
• Work closely with Workshop Control and the Aftersales team.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Keep up to date with the latest technical training and repair techniques.

Your Background & Skills

• Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) is essential.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within a professional workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Hybrid and EV qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
