Job summary

Octane Recruitment are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a modern, well‑equipped workshop in the United Kingdom. You will carry out advanced diagnostic, warranty and repair work across a wide range of vehicles, including EV and hybrid tasks.

A great opportunity to work in a process‑driven environment with manufacturer training. The role offers a strong earnings package (£39,467 basic, £46,967 OTE), 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, life assurance and pension, plus progression

Qualifications

• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Recognised diagnostic qualification.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
• Brand qualification preferred.
• Strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carry out advanced diagnostic, warranty and repair work across a wide range of vehicles.
• Complete EV and hybrid tasks (if qualified), plus hydraulic and safety‑critical repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve difficult faults efficiently.
• Support Apprentice Technicians with guidance and development.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and manufacturer process.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and a recognised diagnostic qualification.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technicianor Mechanic (brand‑qualified applicants also considered).
• Strong teamwork, communication and attention to detail.
• A proactive, organised approach suited to a busy workshop environment.
• A desire to progress — ongoing manufacturer training provided to keep you ahead of EV and emerging technologies.
