Octane Recruitment Ltd invites applications for a Vehicle Technician role in Maidstone, offering a permanent, full-time position with standard hours (Mon-Fri 8:30–17:00) and 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30–12:30). The role includes a £3,000 productivity bonus, full manufacturer training, and Hybrid/Electric Vehicle accreditation.

A full UK driving licence is required. The successful candidate will service, diagnose, maintain and repair vehicles at a busy main dealership, with strong emphasis on quality

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualified technician in light vehicle maintenance & repair (or equivalent IMI/City & Guilds).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a main dealership or independent garage.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to complete servicing and repairs to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Perform vehicle health checks using the latest diagnostic technology.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete authorised mechanical repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Road test vehicles after repairs to ensure faults have been resolved.
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately.
• Work with Aftersales and workshop team to maintain productivity.

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role for a Level 3 qualified Technician to join a busy main dealership in Maidstone, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs. Excellent basic salary, bonus potential, manufacturer training and Hybrid & Electric Vehicle accreditation available.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.

Job type: Permanent / full-time role

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am – 12:30pm
