Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role for one of the UK's leading independent franchised dealership groups. A Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 with 3 years’ workshop experience, is required.

You will work on a wide range of vehicles with a strong salary, overtime and bonus opportunities. Salary up to £36,500 basic per annum (depending on experience), with an outstanding weekly time-saved and team bonus scheme providing a realistic OTE up to £42,500.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• At least 3 years of practical experience working in a busy workshop environment (highly experienced Level 2 Technicians may be considered).
• Own tools suitable for day-to-day workshop servicing and repair duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work efficiently and accurately to manufacturer and franchise standards.
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment and workshop processes to identify and resolve complex vehicle faults.
• Carry out thorough electronic visual health checks to ensure customer vehicles are fully safe and roadworthy.
• Complete accurate service records, digital checklists, and repair documentation in line with company and manufacturer procedures.
• Replace parts, components, lubricants, and consumables cleanly and correctly first time.
• Work professionally with Service Advisors, workshop control, and colleagues to support customer satisfaction and workshop productivity.

Shift and schedule: 5 days a week, including a rotated weekend schedule
