Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Vehicle Technician in St Helens to join a leading main dealer group. You will service and maintain vehicles, diagnose faults, and potentially perform MOT testing when qualified, with an attractive bonus and overtime structure.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm, with Saturday mornings on a rota and a 42.5-hour week. Relevant qualifications (NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds L3) are preferred; Level 2 is acceptable with main dealership experience.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent); Level 2 considered with main dealer experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty work where applicable.
• Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties if qualified.

Vehicle Technician Role
