Job summary

Toyota Edgware is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our busy service department in Hyde. You will service, diagnose, repair vehicles to manufacturer standards and prepare cars for MOT testing, while maintaining high workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• MOT licence preferred.
• Experience in a main dealer or strong diagnostic software skills.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and resolve vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks and record findings.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and address advisory issues.
• Meet efficiency and productivity targets.
• Provide accurate repair times and updates with service advisors.
• Maintain high housekeeping and health & safety compliance.
• Deliver workmanship that ensures customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose and resolve vehicle faults using specialist diagnostic equipment
• Complete vehicle health checks and record findings accurately
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and resolve advisory issues
• Ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met consistently
• Work closely with service advisors to provide accurate repair times and updates
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and compliance with health & safety regulations
• Deliver excellent workmanship, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business

What We're Looking For:

• A Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician
• A valid MOT licence (preferred)
• Experience in a main dealer environment preferred, or from an independent with strong diagnostic software skills
• Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repair processes
• High levels of efficiency with a results-driven approach
• A full UK driving licence is essential
• A positive, proactive attitude with a focus on teamwork and delivering results
