Qualifications

• Previous experience as Vehicle Technician
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent desirable
• MOT Tester accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential

• Carry out servicing and routine maintenance

• Carry out brake, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established automotive business based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician looking for a long-term position, with a competitive salary of £35,000 – £50,000, depending on experience, qualifications and skill level.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine servicing and vehicle maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out brake, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults
• Carrying out MOT-related preparation and repairs where required
• Inspecting vehicles and identifying any additional work required
• Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
• Following manufacturer and company repair procedures
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed
• Working as part of a professional and supportive workshop team
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all relevant health & safety procedures

About You

We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician who takes pride in their work and has a strong technical knowledge of modern vehicles.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experience servicing and repairing a variety of vehicles
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A professional attitude and strong work ethic
• Relevant automotive qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent are desirable
• A full UK driving licence

MOT Tester accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
