Job summary

Allstaff Recruitment Ltd in Bedfordshire is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician for a permanent, full-time role. You will handle service and repair work on cars and vans, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Salary around £36,000 with room for growth depending on experience. Hours are 8am-6pm, five days per week. A valid driving licence is required and an MOT licence is a plus.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or time-served experience.
• Full driving licence.
• MOT testing licence advantageous but not required.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Great at working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Work on all makes and models of cars and vans to a high standard.
• Undertake vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT tests; licensed personnel may perform MOT.
• Maintain workshop standards and health & safety practices.

Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician

• You will be required to work on all makes and models of cars and vans and be committed to working to a high standard.
• Undertaking Vehicle checks ensuring they are road safe and up to standard.
• Prepare them for MOT tests (If you hold a licence then will be asked to do the MOT too)
• Previous track record of workshop experience
• Health & Safety Awareness

Requirements for a successful Vehicle Technician

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or time-served experience.
