Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Grantham is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our workshop team. You will perform a range of mechanical repairs and servicing on various vehicle brands, ensuring work meets manufacturer standards and is well documented.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is required.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in a main dealer or independent garage.
• MOT licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical repairs and servicing on various makes/models.
• Diagnose vehicle faults accurately and efficiently.
• Keep detailed repair records and ensure compliance with manufacturer standards.
• Guide and mentor junior technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Support high standards of safety, cleanliness, and productivity in the workshop.
• Perform MOT testing (desirable but not essential).

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Conduct a comprehensive range of mechanical repairs and servicing on a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Diagnose vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
• Keep detailed repair records and ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards
• Guide and mentor junior technicians and apprentices when required
• Assist in maintaining the workshop's high standards of safety, cleanliness, and productivity
• Perform MOT testing (desirable but not essential)
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques

Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or an equivalent qualification
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician in a main dealer or independent garage
• Valid MOT licence is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
