Royal Mail in Gloucester is seeking a Level 3 qualified mechanic for a permanent role at GloucesterWorkshop. You will inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair a range of vehicles, using your own toolkit and access to specialist workshop tools.

The position offers a permanent contract with overtime potential up to £55k, weekend work on a rota and a comprehensive benefits package including pension and training.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic at advanced level (Level 3) in Light or Heavy vehicle.
• Own toolkit for standard repairs and assembly.
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and complex repairs using own toolkit and workshop tools.

We’re recruiting a Level 3 qualified mechanic atGloucesterWorkshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £55k including overtime.

Working Hours: Full time

• 14:24, week 2: 09:36
• 18:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays 06:00
• 14:24 (with a weekday day off)

A bit about the role

• You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
• You’ll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
• You’ll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

A bit about you

• Qualified mechanic: you’re fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You’ve got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV.
• Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence.
• High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: you’re able to work on a flexible shift rota. You’re always willing to support your team where necessary.
