Royal Mail Group in Uxbridge is seeking a Level 3 qualified Vehicle Technician to join the Uxbridge Workshop on a permanent contract. You will work on a fleet of commercial vehicles, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of LCVs and HGVs.

The role offers a stable, varied career with a comprehensive training plan, PPE, pension benefits and staff discounts. 39.5-hour week with rotating shifts; overtime can reach up to £60,000 per year.

Formación

• Advanced level mechanical qualification (IMI Level 3) required.
• Experience on a wide range of vehicles including LCV and HGV.
• Full UK manual driving licence; HGV licence preferred.
• Own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on vehicles, trailers and equipment.
• Use your own toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs on light/heavy vehicles.
• Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern workshops.

We're recruiting an Level 3 qualified mechanic at Uxbridge Workshop on a Permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £60,000 including overtime.

Working Hours

Full time - 39.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks) (rotating shift pattern; weeks 1 and 2: 06:00 - 14:24, and week 3: 10:00 - 18:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays 06:00 - 14:24 (with a weekday day off).

• You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
• You’ll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.
• You’ll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

A bit about you

• Qualified mechanic: you're fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You've got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
• Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
• High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: you're able to work on a flexible shift rota. You're always willing to support your team where necessary.
