Octane Recruitment is recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a leading UK vehicle rental specialist in Exeter. You’ll work on a wide range of vehicles and benefit from overtime opportunities and a competitive bonus scheme.

Requirements include a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 with 3 years’ experience, a full UK driving licence and your own toolbox. Salary is £37,639 base per annum, with overtime and a potential OTE of £43,639.

• Full UK driving licence.
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, electrics, braking systems, clutches and gearboxes on fleet vehicles.
• Work exclusively on company fleet with no upselling or customer pressure.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with Level 3 qualification or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years' experience for the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists, working on a wide range of vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Vehicle Technician Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent; alternatively, Level 2 Technician/Mechanic qualification with at least 3 years' experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties

Vehicle Technician role:

• You would be working for one of the UK's leading vehicle rental specialists. 60 Branches cover the UK, Ireland and Spain, the workshops maintain and repair their own fleet. Within the UK they operate circa 49,000 vans and 19,000 cars.
• Working exclusively on own fleet - no upselling, no customer pressure - just quality technical work.
• The fleet consists of around 75% Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and 25% cars, giving you great variety and the chance to enhance your skills across different vehicle types.
