Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in Wimborne for a permanent, full-time position. A Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 with at least 3 years' experience, is required. You will service and maintain a wide range of vehicles using modern diagnostic tools.

The role offers £35,000 basic plus bonus and overtime, with an OTE of £38,600+. 45-hour weeks; must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent; alternatively, Level 2 Technician/Mechanic qualification with at least 3 years' experience
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, vehicle health checks, and maintenance across all makes and models
• Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, clutches, cam belts, and suspension components
• Utilising the latest specialized diagnostic technology to identify, test, and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults
• Executing light-to-major mechanical repairs required for vehicles to pass official DVSA MOT tests
