Job summary

Octane Recruitment in Bournemouth invites applications for a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic role. A Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or a Level 2 with 3 years’ experience, is required.

45 hours per week, permanent full-time, £35,000 basic with bonus and overtime (OTE £38,600+). The role involves servicing, health checks, and maintenance across all makes/models, fitting brakes/exhausts/batteries/clutches, using diagnostic tools to resolve faults, and major repairs to pass

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 Technician with 3 years’ experience.
• Must have a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties.
• Must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, health checks and maintenance across all makes and models.
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, clutches, cam belts and suspension components.
• Use diagnostic technology to identify, test and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Perform light-to-major mechanical repairs to ensure DVSA MOT pass.
