Job summary

Van Mossel Automotive Group UK Ltd in Poole is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to diagnose, maintain and repair Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle products to the highest standards. You will complete accurate job records and follow brand warranty, health and safety guidelines to ensure every vehicle is returned to customers safely and to Volkswagen quality standards.

Hours are 42.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualification is required or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with diagnostic servicing and repair skills.
• Professional with a customer-focused approach and team player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards and document results.
• Diagnose faults using approved diagnostic equipment and follow Brand guidelines.
• Complete documentation accurately and in line with brand guidelines and warranty procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and industry standards.
• Maintain warranty procedures and quality standards; ensure safe vehicle return to customers.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Diagnostic Technician to join our Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle dealership in Poole.

As a Diagnostic Technician, you’ll diagnose, maintain and repair Volkswagen vehicles to the highest standards, completing accurate job records and following brand warranty, health and safety guidelines to ensure every vehicle is returned to our customers is safe and to Volkswagen quality standards

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, communicating issues back to the workshop controller and completing additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors

• Diagnose faults using approved diagnostic equipment, following Brand guidelines
• Complete documentation accurately and in line with brand guidelines
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
• Maintain warranty procedures and quality standards
• Ensure vehicles comply with industry safety standards when returned to the customer and any faults been reported and noted on the job cards

What you will need to be a Diagnostic Technician at Van Mossel UK:

• Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician (VW Group or Commercial experience would be an advantage)
• Strong mechanical knowledge and skilled within diagnostic, servicing and repair work
• A positive and inclusive attitude, who thrives in a collaborative, team environment
• Professional with a customer focused approach
• You must be NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalent
• Full UK driving licence

Hours of work will be: 42.5 hours a week,Monday to Friday: 8.00 am to 5.00 pm / NO WEEKENDS

A uniform will be provided
