Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd in the UK is seeking a Vehicle Technician (Vans) to join a leading vehicle hire and fleet management business. You will maintain, service and repair light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to high standards across a busy workshop.

Based in Leicester, the role offers Monday–Friday hours with optional overtime, a competitive salary (£36,720 basic, £42,660 OTE), ongoing training and clear career progression within a large national organisation.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
• Ensure work meets manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

About the Role

Our client is one of the UK's leading vehicle hire and fleet management businesses, and they are currently looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians to join their growing team across multiple sites nationwide.

This role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, ensuring fleet reliability and safety for a wide customer base.
