Job summary

Vertu Kia Edinburgh is seeking skilled Vehicle Technicians to join our Aftersales team. We offer a competitive basic salary and a generous benefits package including sign-on and retention bonuses, a 42-hour week and no weekend working.

You will perform servicing, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards, with opportunities for hybrid and EV training and clear career progression within Vertu Motors Group.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician in a workshop environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Own your tools.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT Tester qualification an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults efficiently and accurately.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work required.
• Apply technical expertise to routine maintenance and complex diagnostics.
• Ensure all work is safe and high quality.
• Deliver first-time fixes and maintain customer satisfaction.

We're offering a competitive basic salary ranging from £36,500 to £40,500, depending on your experience, qualifications, and technical capability.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive an outstanding ownership experience through high-quality workmanship and professional service.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to manufacturer standards

What You'll Need

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Have

• A relevant qualification such as City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
• Your own tools
• A full UK driving licence

MOT Tester qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
