Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is assisting a reputable Chippenham car dealer group to recruit a Vehicle Technician. You will diagnose faults, service and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, and report issues to the Service Manager.

Training for MOT is provided if not currently held, with a focus on safety and quality in a busy workshop. We welcome qualified Vehicle Technicians holding a UK driving licence, with franchised dealership experience and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Qualified Vehicle Technician with IMI/NVQ Level 2 or higher in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Previous experience working within a franchised dealership or similar environment.
• Ability to produce high-quality work efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Ensure vehicle faults are accurately identified and reported to the Service Manager.
• Maintain safety, reliability, and performance standards of vehicles.
• Adhere to quality procedures set by the client and manufacturer.
• Complete work within specified timeframes while ensuring high-quality standards.
• Keep accurate documentation of services and repairs.
• Assist with vehicle inspections, including MOT testing if qualified (training provided if not).
• Work effectively as part of a busy workshop team.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
