Job summary

Wessex Garages is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join our team in Wales. You will carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, using the latest tools in a modern workshop.

Full manufacturer training and ongoing support are provided to help you advance your technical career. We value first-time fixes and exceptional customer satisfaction, with a clear path for skills development and progression within our Aftersales team.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience in a main dealer workshop is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to high standards.
• Diagnose and resolve issues, including non-routine defects.
• Stay up to date with brand standards and perform driving tests as required.
• Utilise workshop facilities efficiently to maximise productivity.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to customer satisfaction.
• Participate in regular training to enhance skills.

We’re looking for motivated individuals who are eager to develop their skills and contribute to the continued success of our aftersales team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles to the highest standards
• Diagnosing and resolving issues, including non-routine defects, both in the workshop and during road tests
• Continuously developing your technical knowledge and staying up to date with brand standards
• Making the most of our facilities and processes to maximise productivity
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the full satisfaction of our customers
• Helping us maintain industry-leading standards in workshop performance
• Taking part in regular training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge

What We’re Looking For

• A full manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Previous experience in a main dealer workshop is preferred but not essential

Key information

• Working Pattern: 8:30am – 5:00pm Mon – Fri, Saturdays on a rota
