Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a brand-new main dealership in Solihull. You’ll benefit from a competitive base salary, uncapped bonus, paid overtime, and additional MOT-related monthly pay.

Ongoing manufacturer training and a modern workshop environment support your earning potential and career growth. The role offers a pathway to long-term progression within a newly launching site, with 31–33 days holiday depending on service and a supportive workshop

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic.
• MOT Tester licence desirable but not essential.
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair experience.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance.
• Completing mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Carrying out electronic vehicle health checks and identifying additional work.
• Accurately completing job cards and recording work undertaken.
• Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and workshop safety.

We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a newly opening main dealership in Solihull. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a new workshop team, with strong earning potential, manufacturer training and genuine long-term career progression.
