Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician in Stafford to join a busy main dealership. The role offers a strong basic salary, uncapped bonus and paid overtime with progression opportunities, plus ongoing manufacturer training.

You will carry out vehicle servicing, routine maintenance and mechanical/electrical repairs to manufacturer standards, using modern diagnostic equipment. A full UK driving licence is required; MOT Tester licence is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking for a busy workshop where you can earn well, receive strong support and be recognised for the work you put in?

We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a successful main dealership in Stafford. This is a great opportunity for a technician from either a main dealer or independent background who wants strong earning potential, manufacturer training and genuine long-term progression.

Vehicle Technician – Role

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
• Completing mechanical and electrical repairs to manufacturer standards
• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment
• Completing repairs efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Carrying out electronic vehicle health checks and identifying additional work
• Accurately recording work completed and updating relevant job documentation
• Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with workshop procedures
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
• MOT Tester licence advantageous but not essential
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Full UK driving licence
