Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician for our client’s workshop in Banbury. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of vehicles, delivering high‑quality workmanship.

The role requires strong automotive knowledge and the ability to use diagnostic tools to identify issues. A UK driving license and Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance are required. Benefits include pension, 30 days holiday, training and progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

Vehicle Technician

Location: Banbury

Salary: Up to £36,000 + bonus £45,000 OTE (Uncapped bonus based on time saved).

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am 5:15pm, 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 8am 12pm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles.
