Job summary

HR GO Recruitment are seeking an experienced Vehicle Service Technician for our rental fleet workshop in the Bishop's Stortford area. You will perform servicing, diagnose faults, fit tyres, and ensure safety checks are completed to manufacturer standards.

The role requires a full UK driving licence and a background in vehicle repair and servicing, with opportunities for ongoing training and development in a modern workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in vehicle repair and servicing.
• Competent in tyre fitting and related workshop tasks.
• Strong mechanical skills and diagnostic ability.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant automotive qualifications preferred (NVQ/IMI or equivalent), but demonstrable experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle servicing and routine maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across a range of vehicles.
• Carry out professional tyre fitting, balancing and replacement.
• Complete inspections, safety checks and service paperwork accurately and on time.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet turnaround targets and deliver excellent customer service.
