Job summary

DCM Tyre and Autocentres is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for its busy workshop located at Shaftesbury or Blandford Heights. You will service vehicles, carry out brake and exhaust work, and perform wheel alignment while diagnosing faults and maintaining records.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence, a proactive, detail-focused approach, and the ability to work well both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician or mechanic.
• Good understanding of vehicle systems and safe working practices.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to undertake training and keep records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, brake and exhaust work, suspension repairs and wheel alignment.
• Diagnose faults and recommend repairs to customers and colleagues.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and follow safety and quality standards.
• Keep accurate job records and adhere to timescales.
• Maintain clean and safe work bay, tools and equipment.
• Deliver excellent customer service and explain work clearly.
