Job summary

Halfords is looking for a Vehicle Service Technician to join our team. You will perform interim, full and major services and associated repairs, including tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension, in a busy retail automotive service environment.

This role offers a base salary of £32,000 with an uncapped monthly bonus scheme that averages £3,600 a year, contributing to on-target earnings up to £35,600. Expect 5 days a week with progression opportunities and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services as well as follow-up repair and replacement work (tyres, brakes, transmission, steering and suspension).
• Work to high standards ensuring customer vehicles are serviced safely and efficiently.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
