Job summary

Britannia MOT & Repair Centre Ltd in Aylesford, Kent seeks an experienced Vehicle Service Technician to join our growing team. You will carry out routine servicing and general repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles, ensuring a high standard of care.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am–5.00pm with no weekend work. Salary £36,000–£38,000 dependent on experience. We offer MOT and EV/Hybrid training, uniform provided, and a friendly, award-winning garage environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• At least two years' relevant experience in servicing and repair.
• Good mechanical knowledge and ability to carry out servicing confidently.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Positive, professional attitude and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and general repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Complete work to high standard following safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of work, parts used and time spent.
• Keep workspace clean, tidy and organised.
• Contribute to smooth workshop operations and business success.

The Role

You'll be responsible for carrying out routine servicing and general repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles, ensuring every vehicle receives a high standard of care and attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and general repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Completing all work to a high standard, following relevant safety procedures.
• Maintaining accurate records of work carried out, including parts used and time spent.
• Keeping your workspace clean, tidy and organised.
• Contributing to the smooth running of the workshop and the continued success of the business.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a technician who is reliable, practical and takes pride in their work.

You'll need:

• A minimum Level 2 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least two years' relevant experience in a vehicle servicing and repair role.
• Good mechanical knowledge and the ability to carry out servicing and general repairs confidently.
