Job summary

Hough Green Garage is seeking Recovery Drivers (7.5t, HGV1, HGV2) based in Llandudno. You will handle breakdowns, recoveries, and vehicle transport on 12-hour shifts with 4 on/2 off, with interviews to discuss start times.

Role offers permanent employment, weekly pay, and full training. You must hold a full UK driving licence with DCPC and Digital Tachograph credentials. Early shifts and on-call requirements may apply, with opportunities to gain additional driving qualifications.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence held in the UK.
• DCPC & Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Proven driving experience; recovery experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and recoveries across the local area.
• Safely recover and transport vehicles by road.
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain the vehicle/yard.
• Use company PDA systems to log jobs and updates.
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required.

Shifts: 4 on / 2 off – Alternative shifts can be discussed at interview

Hours: 12-hour shifts, Various start/finish times discussed at interview

Contract: Permanent | Weekly Pay | Full Training Provided

Pay

Up to £19.00ph dependant on shift and experience Class 1 heavy

Up to £16.00ph dependant on shift and experience Class 2

Up to £15.00ph dependant on shift and experience 7.5ton

Due to continued growth and new contract wins, we are expanding our team and recruiting additional,

7.5T and Class 2 Recovery Drivers and Heavy Recovery Drivers.

Whether you\'re recovering a vehicle safely, transporting it to a garage, or helping a member continue their journey, you\'ll play a vital role in turning a stressful experience into a positive one.

What You\'ll Do

• Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across our operational area
• Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain a tidy vehicle/yard
• Ensure all jobs are completed using company PDA systems
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required

What You\’ll Need

• Full UK Driving Licence
• DCPC & Digital Tachograph Card
• Proven Driving Experience (recovery Experience Desirable But Not Essential)
• Strong communication skills & customer-focused approach
• Ability to work under pressure & independently
• Clean record & ability to pass Police vetting
• Good local geographical knowledge
• Basic mechanical understanding preferred
• Flexible approach to working hours

• Day roles include on-call requirements (explained at interview)
• Both day & night shift available
• Employment subject to proof of right to work in the UK
