Job summary

Hough Green Garage is recruiting 7.5T and Class 2 Recovery Drivers and Heavy Recovery Drivers in Burnley for a fast-paced, frontline role. You will attend breakdowns, recover vehicles safely, and transport them to destinations while using PDA systems and maintaining vehicle standards.

We offer IVR-accredited training, career progression, and weekly pay for permanent positions. A full UK driving licence and CPC/Digital Tachograph credentials are required; multiple shifts available with varying

Qualifications

• Proven Driving Experience (recovery experience desirable but not essential)
• Strong communication skills & customer-focused approach
• Ability to work under pressure & independently
• Clean record & ability to pass Police vetting
• Good local geographical knowledge
• Basic mechanical understanding preferred
• Flexible approach to working hours

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and accident scenes across the operational area
• Safely recover and transport vehicles from motorways and major routes
• Complete vehicle checks and maintain a tidy vehicle/yard
• Ensure all jobs are completed using company PDA systems
• Assist with moving vehicles within the depot as required

Shifts: 4 on / 2 off - Alternative shifts can be discussed at interview

Hours: 12-hour shifts, Various start/finish times discussed at interview

Contract: Permanent | Weekly Pay | Full Training Provided

Must hold a 7.5T, HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.

Pay

• Up to £19.00ph dependant on shift and experience Class 1 heavy
• Up to £16.00ph dependant on shift and experience Class 2
• Up to £15.00ph dependant on shift and experience 7.5ton
• Additions: Call-out & Overtime

• Day roles include on-call requirements (explained at interview)
• Both day & night shift available
