Job summary

Renault Retail Group in Cardiff is seeking a Vehicle Preparation Technician (Level 2) to join our workshop team. The role involves preparing vehicles for retail, performing servicing and inspections, and ensuring quality before handover.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 2 IMI qualification and has workshop experience. A valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4/7) is advantageous. UK manual driving licence essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Level 2 IMI qualification in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Previous experience in a workshop, fast-fit, preparation, or servicing environment.
• A full UK manual driving licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and vehicle preparation work.
• Complete health checks and inspections on vehicles.
• Diagnose and rectify basic mechanical faults.
• Prepare used vehicles to approved retail standards.
• Support MOT preparation work where required.
• Complete repairs in line with manufacturer and safety standards.
• Accurately record work using workshop systems and processes.
• Maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment.
