Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Prep Technician / Vehicle Technician in Ipswich. The role involves preparing vehicles to a high standard, performing servicing, maintenance and repairs, and ensuring safe handover to customers in a busy dealership environment.

The position is full-time and permanent with an excellent benefits package and training opportunities. Applicants should have a Level 2/3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and a full UK Driving Licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an automotive workshop.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle preparation work to a high standard.
• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance.
• Carrying out mechanical repairs where required.
• Identifying and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
• Preparing vehicles to meet manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Using diagnostic equipment where necessary.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
