Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a dedicated engineer to lead simulation, modelling and verification of vehicle power consumption. You will drive optimisation across the vehicle, own low-voltage consumer behaviour, and manage power budgets using benchmarks and programme status.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in vehicle power consumption analysis, simulation, modelling and verification.
• Strong grounding in low-voltage electrical systems and energy demand drivers.
• Practical knowledge of Simulink and System Composer for modelling and verification.
• Experience defining, managing and validating component power budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead simulation, modelling and verification of vehicle power consumption.
• Drive consumption reduction and optimisation across the vehicle.
• Own low-voltage consumers' behaviour and energy demand.
• Manage power budgets using benchmarks and programme status.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, electrical, software, hardware and attributes teams.
• Provide governance and reporting on consumption status, risks and opportunities.
