Job summary

McLaren in Woking is seeking a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to define, deploy, and continuously improve controls and diagnostic processes supporting vehicle build quality and production efficiency.

You will own technical responses to complex vehicle and production-process issues, lead cross-functional resolution, and ensure adherence to release governance and standardised work. This role requires hands-on experience with safety and high-voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in automotive controls and vehicle electrical systems.
• Experience with manufacturing diagnostics, quality, and production-readiness.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, and release governance.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy robust controls and diagnostic processes.
• Lead investigations from containment to permanent corrective action.
• Support End-of-Line testing, software download, coding, and vehicle release.
• Coordinate cross-functional issue-resolution and supplier support.
