Job description

Job title: Vehicle Parts Manager

Department: Activate Accident Repair

Reports to: Bodyshop Manager

Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Location: AAR Nottingham

We are seeking a Vehicle Parts Manager to join our state-of-the-art Activate Accident Repair Nottingham Bodyshop.

Role overview:
You will support the effective operation of the parts department. Excellent organisation and communication skills are essential to plan and coordinate vehicle parts to meet requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily parts coordination for both internal and stock deliveries.
  • Update the parts ordering system.
  • Verify all delivered parts against the order list for accuracy, correct parts, quantity, damage, and quality.
  • Ensure all departmental documentation is correctly completed and delivered on time.
  • Conduct monthly stock checks, reconciling with usage and invoices.
  • Monitor and control departmental resources.
  • Work within internal procedures to meet targets set by your line manager.
  • Communicate potential delays to the Workshop Controller and reception.
  • Input delivery information into the management system and forward paperwork to the accounts department.

Skills and experience:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills via phone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Flexibility in handling demand, tasks, and process changes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Good time management and prioritisation skills.
