Job description
The role is to maintain the Allelys fleet of vans and company vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition within manufacturer guidelines, vehicle operating standards and compliant with MOT dates.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure that all work is performed within manufacturer guidelines, traffic regulations, risk assessments, Health and Safety Regulations and DVSA standards.
- Carry out routine maintenance inspections of vehicles to ensure they are safe and roadworthy, including mandatory checks and Pre-MOT inspections.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, electrical faults and perform necessary maintenance on all vehicles.
- Execute vehicle repairs and modifications as required.
- Report major faults, defects, problems, malfunctions, accidents or incidents to the Plant/Workshop Manager.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
- Perform any duties assigned by the Company in accordance with Group Rules and Policies.
- Contribute to tasks reasonably requested within the capability level of the Vehicle Mechanic.
- Complete any additional responsibilities after receiving correct training and holding applicable certificates.

Skills & qualifications required
- Full, clean and valid UK driving licence.
- Level 3 Advanced Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician qualification.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
- Experience working with a range of vehicles.
- Experience in inspection, repair and service of a range of vehicles.
Details
- Position reports to: Plant/Workshop Manager.
- Location: Studley, Warwickshire.
- Hours: 40 hours per week plus overtime as required.
