Job summary

Allelys Group is recruiting a Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter to maintain the company’s fleet of vans and vehicles to a safe, roadworthy standard in line with manufacturer guidelines and MOT timelines. The role requires routine inspections, diagnostics, and timely repairs to keep vehicles compliant and reliable.

The successful candidate will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform repairs, and maintain a clean workshop.

Qualifications

Full, clean UK driving licence.
Level 3 Advanced Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician qualification.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Good organisational skills.
Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative.
Experience working with a range of vehicles.
Experience in inspection, repair and service of a range of vehicles.

Responsibilities

Maintain the Allelys fleet of vans and company vehicles to a safe, roadworthy condition per manufacturer guidelines and MOT dates.
Carry out routine maintenance inspections and Pre-MOT checks.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults and perform necessary maintenance.
Execute vehicle repairs and modifications as required.
Report major faults to the Plant/Workshop Manager.
Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
Perform duties per Group Rules and Policies.
Contribute to tasks within capability level of Vehicle Mechanic.
Complete other responsibilities after training and relevant certificates.
