The role is to maintain, service and repair a range of Allelys plant, lifting equipment and specialist machinery to industry standards and legislative requirements, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant and available for operational use.
Key responsibilities
- To ensure that all work is carried out as directed by manufacturers' guidelines, maintenance requirements, industry standards, traffic regulations, risk assessments, Health and Safety Regulations and DVSA standards.
- Carry out planned maintenance, servicing and inspection of plant and lifting equipment, including cranes, gantries and modular trailers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on plant equipment.
- Prepare equipment for statutory inspections (e.g. LOLER) and support third‑party examinations.
- Complete accurate maintenance and inspection records.
- Attend site to carry out repairs or breakdown support as required.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
- Maintain a safe, organised workshop and manage parts/consumables stock.

Skills & qualifications required
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance, Engineering or related discipline.
- NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operations to service forklift trucks.
- Experience maintaining heavy plant, cranes or lifting equipment.
- Knowledge of LOLER/PUWER requirements.
- Hydraulic and electrical fault‑finding skills.
- Full, clean and valid UK driving licence.

- Position reports to: Plant/Workshop Manager.
- Location: Studley, Warwickshire.
- Hours: 40 hours per week plus overtime as required.
