Job summary

Motofix Group is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic / Diagnostic Technician in the United Kingdom. You will diagnose faults, remove and refit engines, repair steering and braking systems, and perform wheel alignment to manufacturer standards.

You'll work with modern diagnostic tools across petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles, with ongoing training and a competitive benefits package. 42.5 hours weekly, 07:30-16:30, UK location.

Qualifications

• You’ll ideally have experience as a Vehicle Mechanic or Diagnostic Technician.
• Delivers mechanical/electrical diagnosis and repairs to high standards.
• Proficient with modern diagnostic equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Removing and refitting engines, gearboxes and drivetrain components.
• Repairing steering, suspension and braking systems.
• Carrying out wheel alignment and chassis geometry.
• Completing ADAS and post-repair diagnostic procedures.
• Working across petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Completing quality inspections and road tests.

About the Role

As a Vehicle Mechanic / Diagnostic Technician, you’ll play a key role in returning collision-damaged vehicles safely to manufacturer standards.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Removing and refitting engines, gearboxes and drivetrain components.
• Repairing steering, suspension and braking systems.
• Carrying out wheel alignment and chassis geometry.
• Completing ADAS and post-repair diagnostic procedures.
• Working across petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Completing quality inspections and road tests.
• Following manufacturer repair methods and technical procedures.
• Working with colleagues to achieve right-first-time repairs.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience as a Vehicle Mechanic, Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician.
• IMI Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with modern diagnostic equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
