Pertemps North West and North Wales is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician for our Middlesborough depot. The role focuses on planned and defect maintenance of mechanical and cryogenic systems, with emphasis on safety and uptime.

A valid Class 1 licence with CPC is required, plus experience with DAF tankers/trailers. The successful candidate will join a team on a rotating shift pattern (6am-9pm, weekends) with competitive salary, allowances, and bonus potential, supporting efficient fleet

Formación

• Must be time served HGV Technician.
• Must have a solid work history within a similar role, working on hazardous vehicles and tankers would be advantageous.
• Must hold a valid Class 1 licence with CPC certification (for a minimum of 3-5 years).
• Experience with working on DAF tankers/trailers.
• Computer literate.
• High level of safety awareness.
• Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern, including weekends.
• Excellent team player.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake Planned & Defect Maintenance activities for both Mechanical and Cryogenic Systems.
• Liaise as and when required with external maintenance contractors and other bodies e.g. DAF.
• Minimise vehicle downtime and react to peak demands for vehicle availability.
• Consistently ensure all safety procedures are followed, playing a key role in safety agendas.
• Coupling and uncoupling of motive units/towing vehicles from tankers/trailers.

Job Title: Vehicle Maintenance Technician

Location: Middlesborough (TS6 7RT)

Salary: £45,635 + Allowances + Bonus

Shifts: Rotating Shift Pattern between 6am-9pm (including some weekends)

Contract: Permanent
