Job summary

Days Rental in Shrewsbury, England is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Field Engineer to perform workshop and mobile vehicle maintenance across a growing regional branch network. The role combines hands-on repair work with proactive servicing in a dynamic, customer-focused company.

You will operate from a repair base and on-site client locations, completing scheduled maintenance, diagnosing faults, and repairing vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Clean driving licence; D1 entitlement advantageous.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Providing vehicle maintenance from a base repair workshop and mobile solution across an expanding regional branch network.
• Undertaking scheduled maintenance.
• Responding to breakdowns.
• Diagnosing faults.
• Repairing vehicles and equipment.
• Reporting to the Vehicle Maintenance Manager and working as part of a valued team.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Qualified to the NVQ 3 standard or the equivalent City and Guilds in vehicle maintenance
• Will have demonstrable experience in a similar role
• A clean driving licence, ideally with D1 entitlement, would be an advantage for this role
• The candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• Be eligible to work in the UK
