Job summary

Day's Rental is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Field Engineer in the Sheffield area. The role combines workshop and mobile maintenance across a regional network, delivering high-quality service for a growing fleet.

You will work independently yet be part of a supportive team responsible for keeping vehicles on the road. The ideal candidate will hold NVQ 3 / City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance, have proven field experience, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ 3 or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
• Clean driving licence; D1 entitlement advantageous.
• Ability to work on own initiative and in a team.
• Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide vehicle maintenance from a base workshop and mobile service.
• Undertake scheduled maintenance across an expanding regional network.
• Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults.
• Repair vehicles and equipment as required.
• Report to Vehicle Maintenance Manager and collaborate with the team.

Vehicle Maintenance Field Engineer | Sheffield S9 2SP | Full Time | £40,000 per annum

Are you the right person for the job?

• Qualified to the NVQ 3 standard or the equivalent City and Guilds in vehicle maintenance
• Will have demonstrable experience in a similar role
• A clean driving licence, ideally with D1 entitlement, would be an advantage for this role
• The candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team
• Be eligible to work in the UK
