Job summary

Day's Rental is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance and Compliance Controller to join our maintained fleet operations in the UK. You will work under the Vehicle Maintenance Manager, handling customer inquiries, breakdowns, and liaising with dealers and independent repairers to ensure timely, cost-effective service.

The role requires experience in vehicle maintenance with a focus on statutory compliance for heavy vehicles, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle maintenance with a customer-service focus and understanding of statutory vehicle compliance for vehicles over 3,500 kg.
• Excellent communication skills across face-to-face, written and telephone interactions.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of Kerridge and 1link systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Vehicle Maintenance Manager as part of a valued team.
• Handle customer maintenance enquiries, breakdowns, franchised dealerships and independent repairers.
• Deliver first-class service in a busy maintenance team in a cost-effective manner.

Are you the right person for the job?

• It is desirable that the successful candidate has previous experience in within the vehicle maintenance industry from a customer service perspective, to include an understanding of statutory compliance for vehicles more than 3,500kgs


• Applicants will have excellent communication skills, both face to face, written, and via the telephone


• The candidate must have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team


• Be computer literate, knowledge of Kerridge and 1link systems will be an advantage


• Be eligible to work in the UK
