Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to join our inspections team in the UK. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced technician, this role offers a path to advance your automotive career within one of the UK's most trusted brands.

You will inspect vehicles, report findings using a PDA template, complete used vehicle condition reports, and collaborate with the team to maintain daily site inspections, while engaging with customers to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

Must have NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
Strong written communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Conduct vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template.
Complete used vehicle condition reports.
Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
