Job summary

RAC is hiring a Vehicle Assessment Technician to join the Inspections team on a site-based role at our clients' premises. You will perform quality vehicle condition reporting and testing, completing inspections and reports as part of a collaborative team.

This is ideal for newly qualified technicians or experienced vehicle technicians looking to advance within the UK’s leading breakdown provider, with strong training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent motor trade industry experience.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates and electric/hybrid vehicles would be an advantage.
• Strong written skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete work against set inspection procedures with findings reported via a PDA report template.
• Complete used-vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain daily site inspections through cooperation with other team colleagues.
• Maintain contact and interaction with customer contacts.
