Job summary

RAC is seeking Vehicle Assessment Technicians to join our Inspections team. You will work on-site at clients’ premises, producing quality vehicle condition reports and performing testing as part of a site-based inspector role.

Newly qualified applicants are encouraged, with market-leading training to support your automotive career. Experienced technicians are welcome as well, with opportunities for progression and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent motor trade industry experience.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of diagnostics, software updates and hybrid/electric vehicles is a plus.
• Strong written skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete work against set inspection procedures with findings reported via a PDA report template.
• Complete used-vehicle condition reports.
• Maintain daily site inspections in collaboration with colleagues.
• Maintain contact and interaction with customer contacts.
