Job description

Description

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Inspector to join our team in Coalville on a full-time, permanent basis. You will join a team of dedicated Inspectors to carry out the initial assessment on our vehicles. This role reports into the Inspection Supervisor.

As Vehicle Inspector, you will inspect vehicles and assess any damage sustained, according to Motability Inspection Standard specifications and reporting criteria, identifying the cost and time scales for repair.

You will be responsible for delivering a detailed and accurate estimate based on the current inspection standards at our Coalville site, working in a dedicated inspection building. This is an exciting opportunity for a logical individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspect vehicles, record details accurately, and assess the extent of any damage, in line with Motability Inspection Standards.
2. Identify the correct repair methods.
3. Communicate effectively with the Coalville team.
4. Work to deadlines and targets with strong organisational and multi-tasking skills.
5. Respond proactively to site and KPI targets.
6. Use bespoke inspection software (Training Provided).

Qualifications

To be successful, you should have previous experience in this role, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and adapt your inspection as required.

Minimum Criteria

1. Full UK Driving license.
2. Ability to cope well under pressure and work effectively within a team.
3. Good attention to detail.
4. Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment.
5. Interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Experience of working to deadlines with quality output.
7. Vehicle inspection experience is desirable.
8. Knowledge of BVRLA fair wear and tear standards is desirable but not essential.
