Job summary

NSL Ltd, part of Marston Holdings, is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will carry out vehicle inspections in line with Transport for London quality assurance systems.

Ideal candidates hold a full UK manual driving licence, can inspect taxis and PHVs to TfL criteria, and record findings using PCs and handhelds. Excellent customer service and strong time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Inspect Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles to meet TfL licensing criteria.
• Record inspection findings using PCs and Handheld Computers.
• Liaise with customers, offering test feedback, advice, and guidance in terms of re-booking and rectifications required.
• Updating the system with any vehicle changes, damage reports or new documentation.
• Liaise with colleagues and TfL over policy, procedures, and changes.
• Close attention to detail, ability to check documentation to ensure it is accurate and check vehicles to ensure they are in line with the licensing rules.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Hours: Monday - Friday 8.5 hours a day with potential for overtime and weekend working during busy periods.
• Contract: Full time 42.5 hours per week.
