Job summary

1st Central is seeking four Image Engineers to join the Engineering team based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex or Salford Quays, Manchester. You will engineer and authorise vehicle repairs, produce inspection reports and make decisions regarding settlement of total loss cases.

Core skills include extensive vehicle make up knowledge, proficiency with automotive estimate systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team while delivering accurate, timely decisions.

Qualifications

• Extensive vehicle make up knowledge.
• Competent in the use of automotive estimate systems

• Experience in the repair industry and resolving complex customer issues

Responsibilities

• Engineer and authorise vehicle repair costs per manufacturer methodology.
• Take technical calls, produce inspection reports, and make total loss decisions while authorising supplementary estimates.
• Liaise with customers and network of third parties to settle claims and establish market position for the vehicle.
• Communicate complex decisions clearly to customers and third parties with appropriate level of understanding.
• Identify fraudulent activity and assist in claims to settle where vehicles are beyond economical repair or stolen/unrecovered.
