Job summary

Igloo Ltd is recruiting a Vehicle Handover Specialist for our Corby operation. You will prepare vehicles for collection, guide customers through handover, demonstrate controls, and ensure all checks and paperwork are completed.

The role focuses on delivering a first-class customer experience, presenting vehicles to a high standard, and working closely with the Handover Team to support daily collections on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing or automotive roles is advantageous.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle controls and features or willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, professional, customer-focused approach.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for customers collecting vehicles.

• Demonstrate vehicle functions during handover.
• Ensure all paperwork and vehicle checks are completed before release.
• Prepare vehicles to a high standard, clean and ready for collection.

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Handover Specialist to join a busy automotive operation in Corby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for vehicles and customer service to play a key role in ensuring every vehicle is presented and handed over to the highest standard.

Working as part of the Handover Team, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for collection, assisting customers during the handover process, and ensuring all required checks and documentation have been completed before vehicles leave site.

The Role:

As a Vehicle Handover Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for customers collecting vehicles.
• Explaining vehicle controls, features, and specifications where required.
• Demonstrating vehicle functions to customers during the handover process.
• Ensuring all required paperwork and vehicle checks have been completed before release.
• Preparing vehicles to a high standard, ensuring they are clean and ready for collection.
• Carrying out quality checks prior to vehicle handover.
• Ensuring vehicles are positioned in the designated collection area ready for the following day's collections.
• Supporting colleagues across the Handover Team as required.
• Delivering excellent customer service throughout the collection process.
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and professionalism at all times.

The Person:

• Previous experience in a customer-facing or automotive role is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle controls and features, or a willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive, professional, and customer-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly motivated with a flexible attitude.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points for minor offences.
