Orbital Recruitment are working with a Derbyshire-based engineering manufacturer seeking two skilled Vehicle Fitters to join a dedicated team. The role focuses on high-standard fitting, modification, and finishing work on vehicles and specialist equipment, emphasizing pride in workmanship and long-term stability.

You will work within a fabrication and welding environment, performing quality-focused tasks with attention to detail and safe work practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience in vehicle fitting, fabrication or assembly.
Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.
Confident using hand and power tools.
Understanding of basic fabrication and welding principles.
Reliable, safety-conscious and professional.
Ideally looking for long-term work with potential to go permanent.

Responsibilities

Inspect vehicles and components to ensure work meets required quality standards.
Carry out fitting, modification, and repair work on vehicle structures and assemblies.
Cut, grind, seal, and finish components to a high standard.
Use hand and power tools safely and accurately.
Support fabrication and welding teams to maintain consistency and reliability.
Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
